When we grieve, there are times where we might engage in pacifying behaviors. We call these STERBS (Short Term Energy Relieving Behaviors). I like to call them short-term emotional relieving behaviors. Most of these behaviors in and of themselves are not dangerous, however when we engage in them not to feel, they can be detrimental to our health. One STERB that we engage in is eating as a means of comfort.
During these times there may be some of us who are eating better or perhaps you started off eating healthier and it has died off due to boredom, grief, or lack of motivation or commitment. Wherever you are on the spectrum, we are not judging, we pray that this video will motivate you to continue, get back on the wagon, or try something different.
