Forever Healed, Inc. is a non-profit organization providing Grief Awareness seminars, workshops and lunch & learns to educate on the concept of grief/grieving, the most misunderstood and neglected emotional process a person can experience during their life.

Here's how we can serve you

Grief in the workplace

Awareness and education are key in helping your employees cope with loss.

Grief is a fact of life. While there are many articles and books published on the subject of grief, very little is available on how to address grief in the workplace. This is unfortunate because griefcan dramatically impact the work environment. Since employees spend a large percentage of their daily lives at work, it is in that environment where reaction to loss may significantly influence productivity.

With heightened awareness and simple practical shifts in communication, employers can address the hidden cost of grief that affect their employees. Our focus is to assist with mitigating these hidden costs and provide employees with tools to plan ahead and effectively attend to their grief to reduce the short and long-term impact of grief.

Our sessions are designed to offer employees the necessary coping and recovery mechanisms to effectively handle personal grief and the grieving of others, such as customers/colleagues/family members/friends, which will allow them to remain valuable team members.

Grief in the church

The church often plays an important role in helping with coping with a loss.

During a time of loss, a person may look to the church for guidance or remove themselves from the church. In some instances, poor advice or the individual may be inappropriately judged for grieving. They will hide their pain which will foster bitterness, resentment and a lack of trust. Grief in the church can in some ways impede spiritual growth.

In our sessions, we will focus on showcasing the real TRUTH about grief and some of the common grieving behaviors. Areas we will cover, but are not limited to:

  • Myths about grief
  • Life events that can produce feelings of grief
  • Unhelpful (and sometimes hurtful) comments when trying to console a griever

Secondary Trauma

Secondary Trauma Course for grief, trauma, and hospice providers

According to the American Counseling Association (ACA), secondhand, or vicarious trauma is a condition that affects many people who interact with those who have experienced a traumatic event.

As service providers, you constantly pour into others. Therefore you must be well at the well. You uplift, inspire, and are wives, husbands, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, friends, leaders, mentors, and entrepreneurs. As such, you are conditioned to stay busy.

A loss is anything that you assign value, real or imagined. You are valuable; so don’t allow the demands of others or the noise of the world to deplete your well. During this session we will discuss:
