“Church Hurt” and Resulting Grief

The term “church hurt” often refers to the pain sometimes afflicted by the people of religious institutions. This pain can be a result of abuse of power, loss of expectation in a church, and member to member conflict and/or pain. As a result of the pain, some will distract themselves from their communities and from God. We know that all churches are comprised of people with diverse backgrounds, spiritual maturity, and motives. As such, people will let us down.  However, God is faithful and His love is unfailing.  Our guest panelists discussed ways in which we can separate the pain associated with “church hurt” from God’s character.  If you have experienced “church hurt” this video is a must see!
