If you have experienced one or more of these losses and you wish to move beyond the pain, this program offers you the probability of a richer and more rewarding life.

Sessions are held every Thursday at 7:00 p.m. until December 19th, 2024 – in-person at 2807 N. Parham Road – 2nd Floor Richmond, VA 23294 AND virtually on ZOOM.

The group sessions provide a safe and supportive environment where participants can share their experiences without fear of judgment.

The program materials and discussions are designed to be inclusive and respectful of diverse cultural backgrounds, ensuring that all participants feel valued and understood.

Empowerment

The program emphasizes empowerment, giving participants control over their healing process and fostering a sense of agency.

Our Team

Our team includes The Grief Recovery Method Certified Grief Recovery Specialists and certified Grief Coaches. All facilitators are trained in trauma-informed care and each session has two faciliators.

Here is the schedule for our current group sessions.

This is exclusively open to VIRGINIA Service members, Veterans, and their family members.

3) Thursday, November 7th – 7:00 p.m.

4)Thursday, November 14th – 7:00 p.m.
5) Thursday, November 21st – 7:00 p.m.
* (no session during Thanksgiving week)
6) Thursday, December 5th – 7:00 p.m.
7) Thursday, December 12th – 7:00 p.m.
8) Thursday, December 19th – 7:00 p.m.

Who is eligible to participate in the program?

Virginia Veterans, active service members, and their immediate family members (17+ years old and up) are eligible to participate.

Is there a cost to the program?

No, this Grief and Wellness Program is completely FREE to Service Members, Veterans and their family members.

When is the program held?

We meet every week on Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Is the location handicap accessible?

Yes! There are several handicap parking spaces, elevators and handicap restrooms on the 1st and 3rd floors of the building.

Is childcare provided?

No, we do not provide childcare.

What if I can’t attend all 8 sessions?

While we encourage full participation to get the most out of the program, we understand life happens. Please make every attempt to attend sessions.

How long is the program?

This FREE program happens over eight weeks. We will meet ONCE a week on Thursday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m..

Where are the sessions held?

In Richmond, Virginia at 2807 N. Parham Road in the 2nd floor training room AND virtually by ZOOM.

Is parking available?

Yes! There is plenty of free parking available in the parking lot.

Can family members attend with veterans/service members?

Yes, immediate family members ( 17+ years old and up that reside in Virginia) are encouraged to attend and participate in the program together to foster collective healing.

What should I expect during the sessions?

Each session will be a mix of group discussions, educational workshops, and practical tools for managing grief.

What makes this program unique for veterans and service members?

This program is specifically tailored with the unique needs of veterans and military families in mind, acknowledging the distinct challenges faced in dealing with grief and loss.

Are the sessions confidential?
